Students of Manipur are best in studies in North East India, however due to present law and order of the state coupled with lack of facilities, students are now facing lots of problem both academically as well as psychologically. The youth summit aimed to encourage students to make aware of the environmental issues of the state and create leadership qualities among the students. The summit will be organized in all the districts in phase-wise every year. The summit is first of its kind in Northeast India and is being organized to celebrate UN’s International decade of Biodiversity 2010-2020. NECEER, Imphal is one of the 14 official partners of UN’s International decade of Biodiversity 2010-2020 in India. As part of the summit, painting competition (Std. I-VI), symposium (VII-XII), short story writing contest (BA & BSc students), nature walk at Kangla Fort and screening of environmental films will be organized. Actress Bala is the brand ambassador of the summit.

Manfete is the grand management event organised by MIMS, MU for 3 days every year since the institution was established. This event was a synchronization of creativity solely aimed at reaching out to the people, specially the student folks with the idea of sharing and building management knowledge. The event comprise of various sub-events dance, unplugged, fashion parade, debate, essay writing, quiz, recitation, spot painting, ex-tempore, video games and many more.
